Injectable solution

For Veterinary Use Only

Each 1 ml contains:

Danofloxacin mesilate: 31.722 mg (equiv. to danofloxacin 25 mg)

Danofloxacin is a synthetic fluoroquinolone with broad spectrum antimicrobial activity. The antimicrobial activity of danofloxacin is based upon the inhibition of microbial DNA gyrase. Danofloxacin, in common with other quinolones, produces a stable complex between the enzyme and DNA. This results in the cessation of DNA replication and transcription, an effect which is the basis of the antimicrobial effect. DANOCIN has bactericidal action against an ample range of gram-positive, gram-negative bacteria and mycoplasma.

DANOCIN has fast absorption in the injection site, reach levels of concentration after two hours of the initial treatment, suggesting extensive distribution to the indicated site of infection.
