Butaline ER . (Capsules)
Composition:
Each capsule contains:
Terbutaline Sulphate 7.5 mg.
(in the form of extended release pellets)
Properties:
Terbutaline, is a ß2-selective oral bronchodilator.
Indications:
It is used for the relief and prevention of bronchospasm in bronchial asthma and in chronic bronchitis, emphysema and other bronchopulmonary disorders in which bronchospasm is a complication factor.
Dosage Administration:
It is recommended that adults and elderly take one capsule in the morning and a second capsule in the evening.
Contra Indications:
- It is contraindicated in the patients with history of hypersensitivity to Terbutaline sulphate & other sympathomimetics.
- Care should be taken with patients suffering from myocardial insufficiency or thyrotoxicosis, serious hypokalaemia may result from ß 2-agonist therapy.
- Terbutaline should only be administered with caution during the first trimester of pregnancy.
Side Effects:
In some cases:
Tremors, tachycardia or palpitation.

Box contains 3 strips, each of 10 capsules.
